The Jiangsu Hengli Zone A waste heat recovery and refrigeration technology retrofit project’s equipment has been successfully put into operation.

On June 15, 2023, the refrigeration technology retrofit project for utilizing waste heat from the top of the polyester process tower in Zone A of Jiangsu Hengli Synthetic Fiber Co., Ltd. was successfully put into operation. The EPC project was contracted on January 15, 2023. Nanjing Huiru Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. worked closely with China National Nuclear Corporation Huawei Design Institute, Warner Group Engineering Division, and the Procurement Department to rationally schedule procurement plans and construction timelines, thereby ensuring the timely commissioning of the Zone A facility.

According to preliminary calculations, after the A-zone equipment is put into operation, it will save 3 tons of steam per hour and 60 kilowatt-hours of electricity per hour, generating annual savings of 6 million yuan. The investment can be recouped within one year, exceeding the user’s expected targets.
The successful commissioning of the equipment in Zone A has not only laid a solid foundation for the smooth commissioning of the remaining Zones C, D, E, and F, enhancing the company’s market competitiveness, but also boosted Warner Group’s market visibility in the field of waste heat recovery and refrigeration within the polyester industry.
